There are 3 types of vehicle inspections.
- Roadworthy inspection: This is where only a few components on a car is checked to see if the car is deemed roadworthy. (brakes, shock-absorbers, safety-belts, indicators, tires, etc)
- Multi point check: A multi point inspection consistis of about 35 components and is basicly a bulked-up roadworthy check. This check does not include accident damage checks.
- Technical inspection: This is a comprehensive vehicle inspection and should be performed by a qualified mechanic, not a trained technician. This includes all major components of a car and covers accident damage checks. (gearbox, engine, cassis, suspention, etc.)
We recommend that all the major components of a car is inspected. One of the most common problems is accident damage that has been patched up.
